Henry Eccles
1670-1742
Henry Eccles was an English composer and violinist. He spent a large proportion of his life working for the Duke d’Aumont, the French ambassador to Britain, and travelled with him to France in 1713. Though a successful composer, Eccles plagiarised many of his works from others, though his popular G minor sonata is mainly his own work.
