Competition Terms of Service 

1. GENERAL

1.1 By entering any competition via www.stringvirtuoso.com, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions.

1.2 To enter competitions run by String Virtuoso Limited, you must submit accurate and current contact information, including a valid email address and phone number. This information is required in order to:

• Notify the winner
• Comply with our Privacy Policy
• Publish the winner’s name and general location in our “Previous Winners” section

1.3 String Virtuoso Limited is not responsible for any failure to contact a winner due to incorrect or outdated contact details provided by an entrant.

1.4 It is each entrant’s sole responsibility to ensure their contact information is accurate and up to date while participating in any of our competitions.

1.5 All entrants must be 18 years of age or older.

2. COMPETITION RULES

2.1 All competitions are organised and operated by String Virtuoso Limited.

2.2 Employees of String Virtuoso Limited (and their immediate family members) are not eligible to enter.

2.3 All participants must be 18 years or older.

2.4 Participants residing outside of the UK, USA, or Europe must ensure that entering our competitions is legal in their country of residence.

2.5 All competitions are governed by English law, and participants agree that the Courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction in the event of a dispute.

2.6 String Virtuoso Limited reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who breaches these Terms and Conditions or acts in any way that is considered unlawful or inappropriate.

2.7 Each competition has a fixed number of tickets available, which will not be changed after launch. A visible countdown timer will indicate the intended draw date.

If fewer than 70% of tickets are sold when the timer expires, we may:

• A. Proceed with the draw and award the full prize
• B. Award a cash prize equivalent to 70% of the total ticket revenue (minus bank fees and operational costs)
• C. Extend the competition to allow more time for ticket sales

For competitions offering date-specific experiences, any extensions will ensure fair timing between the draw and the event date.

All prize draws are conducted live on our official Facebook and Instagram channels, using the Google Random Number Generator to select winners. Winners will be contacted within 12 hours of the draw.

3. ENTERING A COMPETITION

3.1 Entrants may select and enter any available live competition on www.stringvirtuoso.com.

3.2 Each participant will be allocated a unique ticket number upon entry.

3.3 The maximum number of tickets per person is typically between 25–50, but may vary by competition. Limits will be clearly displayed on each competition page.

3.4 By entering, you acknowledge that the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 do not apply to String Virtuoso Limited competitions.

3.5 Free Postal Entry Option
We offer a free entry method for all competitions via postal mail. To enter by post, you must:

• Clearly state which competition you are entering
• Include your full contact details (name, phone number, email address)

Please note:

• Only one free postal entry per person, per competition is allowed.
• Entries sent in bulk or delivered in person will be disqualified.
• All entries must arrive before the competition’s closing date.
• Each valid postal entry will be allocated a random ticket number.
• Postal entries are treated the same as paid entries.
• You will receive an email confirmation once your entry is processed.
• Disqualification may occur if your entry is incomplete, late, abusive, or breaches our terms in any way.

All entries are final and become the property of String Virtuoso Limited. No entries will be returned, and no refunds will be issued.

5.2 If at least 70% of tickets have been sold by the time the countdown ends, the draw will proceed. If fewer than 70% of tickets are sold, we reserve the right to:

• A. Award the original prize
• B. Award a reduced cash prize equivalent to 70% of ticket sales (minus fees)
• C. Extend the competition to allow further sales

5.3 If the winner cannot be contacted within 14 days of the draw, we reserve the right to select an alternative winner.

5.4 All entrants must provide full and accurate details when creating their account to ensure contact can be made if they win.

6. WINNER SELECTION

6.1 Winners are selected using the Google Random Number Generator.

6.2 All draws are streamed live via our Facebook and Instagram channels.

6.3 Draw date and time will be announced at least 12 hours in advance on our social media pages.

6.4 Draws will take place within 48 hours of each competition closing.

6.5 Unless stated otherwise, there will be one winner per competition.

6.6 Winners will be contacted within 24 hours after the draw.

6.7 String Virtuoso Limited will coordinate with winners to arrange delivery of their prize.

7. PRIZES

7.1 Prizes will be delivered or arranged in accordance with the nature of the competition.

7.2 For physical items (e.g. a double bass bow), String Virtuoso Limited will cover all shipping costs, including import taxes, duties, VAT, IVA, or tariffs.

7.3 For experience-based prizes, appropriate booking or confirmation documentation will be provided to the winner.

7.4 Winners must provide valid proof of identity and entry to claim their prize.

7.5 Winners may be featured on our Previous Winners page at www.stringvirtuoso.com.

8. LEGAL UNDERTAKING

8.1 By entering any competition, you confirm that:

• You have the legal capacity to do so
• You have read and accepted these Terms and Conditions

8.2 You are solely responsible for ensuring that your participation is legal in your country of residence.

8.3 String Virtuoso Limited is not responsible for any individual entering unlawfully. If you reside outside of England, Wales, Scotland, the United States, or Europe, we recommend checking local regulations before participating.

9. REFUNDS

Tickets are non-refundable once purchased.

If you believe you have exceptional circumstances that justify a refund, please contact us to discuss your situation. However, String Virtuoso Limited reserves the right to refuse any refund requests.
