Alvaro Siculiana
Alvaro Siculiana, a pianist born in Parma, Italy, in 1988, is an active soloist and chamber musician. He has performed at prestigious venues such as Wigmore Hall and Cadogan Hall in London, as well as Cappella Farnese in Bologna. Additionally, he has participated in concerts for various music societies, including the Edinburgh Society of Musicians, the Cambridge University Musical Society, and the Melrose Music Society.
Alvaro studied under the guidance of Stefano Orioli and Simon Young. He holds a degree in Piano Performance from the Conservatorio G.B. Martini in Bologna and an MMus in Piano Performance from the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. He frequently collaborates with violist Raisa Zapryanova, exploring both standard and contemporary repertoire while also performing pieces premiered by their duo.
In the past year, Alvaro worked with double bassist Valentina Ciardelli on a project titled “How I Met Puccini,” during which they recorded five out of ten fantasies based on Puccini’s operas.
In addition to his performing career, Alvaro teaches piano at Windsor Piano School and Greenwich Music School, where his students have won prizes in various competitions and festivals.
