Part of our Short Vocal Work Collection, Vissi D’arte is a soprano aria from act two of Puccini’s opera Tosca. It is solemn and reflectful in nature as Floria Tosca reflects on her fate as well as that of her beloved, Mario Cavaradossi, who is at the mercy of the Baron. She despairs as her prayers go unanswered whilst fearing that she has been abandoned by God. This work is a simplified version transcribed by Valentina Ciardelli for double bass and piano, in both solo and orchestral tuning, at an intermediate level from her Virtuoso opera fantasies. www.valentinaciardelli.com

Double Bass music purchased from String Virtuoso Shop comes with both a clean part and a part with bowings and fingerings from the editor.
