Antonio Torres Olmo
Antonio Torres Olmo studied with Ángel Santafé at the Conservatorio Superior de Música in Códoba, later travelling to Paris to study at the Paris Conservatoire with Thierry Barbé. In 2013, Antonio won first prize at the Premio de Interpretación Musical in Paris, the first time that a double bassist won the competition since its creation in 1991, and during 2015 and 2016 he was a resident player with the Orchestre de l’Opéra National de Paris. In 2018 Antonio was appointed as a professor at the Conservatorio Superior de Música ‘Manuel Castillo’ of Seville.
