Adrian Eriksson

Born 1995 in Gothenburg, Sweden, Adrian Eriksson started to play the double bass at the age of nine. He studied with Jan Alm at the Gothenburg Academy of Music and Drama and later with Prof. Ekkehard Beringer at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover. 2022 he obtained his master’s degree with Prof. Rick Stotijn at the Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf.

In 2023 Adrian released his debut album, Elégie: Rachmaninov on Double Bass, with double bass transcriptions celebrating Rachmaninov’s 150th anniversary. Adrian’s original works for bass consist of the double bass concerto “Man against Nature”, a solo sonata and chamber music pieces.

Adrian has played in orchestras such as the Verbier Festival Orchestra and Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester, he was academicist of the Mahler Chamber Orchestra and intern at NDR Radiophilharmonie. In the 2023/24 season, Adrian is academicist of the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra.
