Dmytro Rudyk

Born in 2000 in Ternopil, Ukraine, Dmytro began his musical training at the age of six, initially studying violin before switching to double bass at 13. Dmytro studied at the Ternopil Music College, won prizes at national competitions in Kyiv, Lviv, and Dnipro, performed as a soloist with the Ternopil and Lviv Philharmonic Orchestras, and was a member of the Youth Orchestra of Ukraine from 2017 to 2019.

Dmytro continued his studies in Germany, beginning his Bachelor’s degree in 2019 at the Folkwang University of the Arts with Prof. Niek de Groot, and later studying with Prof. Rick Stotijn at the Robert Schumann Hochschule. In 2024, Dmytro joined the Academy of the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra and has appeared as an extra musician with several leading German orchestras.

Dmytro has participated in major masterclasses and festivals, including the Carl Flesch Academy, Elba Isola Music Festival, and Live Music Now Rhein-Ruhr, and is a scholarship recipient of the Oskar and Vera Ritter Foundation. Dmytro has performed solo and chamber music concerts at venues such as the Philharmonie Baden-Baden and is an active member of Villa Musica.
