For composer Graham Boag, these Lyrical Pieces arose out of necessity. Graham was teaching double bass and had limited resources available to him to use, so he decided to compose a number of beginner studies, each one progressively more challenging. Only recently did Graham decide to add piano accompaniments, and with the help of String Virtuoso artist Aisling Reilly these have turned into a charming set of miniatures for the double bass. This set of nine pieces provides an enjoyable way to learn and play, and introduces players to a number of techniques in a fun way.
