Richard English is a double bassist and composer who spends most of his time freelancing in the North and Midlands of England. As a performer he has worked with many of the major symphony orchestras in the UK and Ireland, and outside of this he has a busy teaching career working with young bassists. His compositions have been performed by a number of artists, most notably the Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra and Fantasia Orchestra.
