Lili Boulanger
1893 – 1918
Lili Boulanger was a French composer of the early twentieth century, and the first female composer to win the coveted Prix de Rome competition. Though she only lived to 24, she left behind a body of influential and highly-regarded works, and her skills of harmony and orchestration are admired to this day.
