Franz Schubert
1797-1828
Franz Schubert is undoubtedly one of classical music’s most recognisable composers. Despite his short lifetime, Schubert wrote a vast amount of music, mainly in the form of songs and chamber music. He spent most of his life in Vienna, and during his lifetime only achieved popularity locally, becoming more widely known after his death.
