Antonín Dvořák
1841-1904
Antonín Dvořák was one of the first Czech composers to achieve worldwide recognition. He spent a period of his life in the United States as director of the National Conservatory in New York, during which he wrote a number of his most famous works, including the ‘New World’ Symphony, the Cello Concerto, and the American String Quartet.
