Cantabile

Niccolò Paganini is perhaps the most famous violinist of all time, but it is a little-known fact that he was also a virtuoso guitarist. His musical output includes many pieces for violin and guitar, and this gem of a piece is one of them. Cantabile is a heartfelt aria which is beautifully ornamented in an operatic style. Here, Alessandro Serra has arranged the piece for double bass and piano — a piece which would be a great addition to any recital.
