Romance and Rondo

Franz Keyper’s Romance and Rondo is a charming piece from the eighteenth-century double bass repertoire. The two movements are actually taken from his first and second double bass concertos, but were arranged by the composer and left to us in part form, indicating that they were likely prepared for a specific performance by Keyper. This new edition by Lorraine Campet includes bowing and fingering suggestions for the performer, along with optional piano parts in both solo and orchestral tuning.
