Niccolò Paganini’s set of 24 caprices for solo violin are a staple of the repertoire, and one of his most iconic compositions. The 24th caprice is particularly well-known, and its theme has been used in variations by composers including Brahms, Chopin, Liszt, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Lutosławski, Rachmaninov, and Szymanowski.
